What we do

Forward with AI where it adds value. And on proven technology where that fits better.

AVI·TECH Consultancy works AI-first: with every question we first assess where AI adds value, which data it needs and how it can run safely; only then the tooling. If AI does not (yet) fit the organisation, we build according to our proven approach: the same architecture, the same team, without the AI component. Forward, at the pace that suits you.

We combine business management and IT with deep technical expertise, so that strategy actually lands in the architecture. And the other way round.

Business and technology

We speak the language of the boardroom and the language of the terminal. That lets us connect objectives, budgets and architecture without anything getting lost in translation.

AI-first, from day one

With us, AI is not a side project but a fixed part of the architecture: data, security, model choice, governance and operations in a single design. And where AI does not fit, we deliver the classic solution; just as solid.

Hands-on until it runs

Consultancy and engineering from the same team: we design and we build alongside you. From target architecture to configuration, from steering suppliers to the first working environment.

Services

Consultancy and engineering: from strategy to infrastructure, from a single partner.

AI-first architecture and strategy

From AI ambition to working architecture: an AI brain as the organisation's knowledge core, AI agents that work safely within it, model choice (local or cloud), governance and operations. Including our own framework for the safe use of AI in enterprise environments.

Recent projects

The kind of work that crossed our desk recently.

From multi-year architecture to AI on your own hardware, and from tenders to steering a scale-up's technology. No names, just the essence. Filter on what matters to you.

  • AI

    On-premises AI

Knowledge agents and local models on your own hardware. Files stay inside; answers still come.

  • AI

    AI frameworking

Our own framework for the safe use of AI in the enterprise. How it works? That we tell you at the table.

  • AI

    AI-first strategy

From ambition to roadmap: where AI can run safely, what it delivers and what needs to be in place first.

  • AI

    AI brain

One knowledge core for the organisation: documents, data and models together, with role-based access.

  • AI

    AI agents under Zero Trust

Agents that do the work with their own identity, least privilege and full logging; no agent without a passport.

  • Architecture

    Target architecture

The multi-year picture for data centre, network and platform; the map everyone navigates by.

  • Architecture

    Reference designs

Reusable designs for SaaS integrations, identity and interfaces. Done right once, standard ever after.

  • Architecture

    Multi-year architecture

Roadmaps that put ambitions, budgets and lifecycle on one timeline, so the board can steer.

  • Architecture

    Programme architecture

Overarching programmes in which suppliers, teams and domains have to come together. Someone who sees the whole.

  • Infrastructure

    Standardisation as code

Firewalls, networks and platforms as code: repeatable, testable and boring in the best sense of the word.

  • Infrastructure

    Data centre and hybrid cloud

Fabrics, segmentation, NAC and hybrid cloud platforms; designed down to packet level and tested in phases.

  • Infrastructure

    Lifecycle management

Network LCM, certificate management and replacement advice. No surprises on the day support ends.

  • Infrastructure

    Network architecture

Campus, WAN and data centre in one coherent design; from topology to routing policy, with segmentation from day one.

  • Security

    Zero Trust architecture

Identity, device and context decide access, not the network port. Introduced step by step, no big bang.

  • Security

NIS2 and the Dutch Cybersecurity Act

From duty of care to demonstrable measures: risk analysis, governance and incident reporting that fit the organisation.

  • Security

    NIST Cybersecurity Framework

Maturity measured along Govern, Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond and Recover; with a roadmap that sets priorities.

  • Leadership

    CTO for startups

Setting the technical direction, laying down the first architecture and building a team that can deliver.

  • Leadership

    Scaling scale-ups

From one product to a platform: letting architecture, processes and people grow with the ambition.

Approach

Five steps, no surprises.

Every engagement starts small and informal, and only grows as far as the question requires. Whoever makes the design also sits at the table during delivery.

  1. I

    Coffee

Getting acquainted over coffee, tea or something else; sharpening the question. No strings attached.

  2. II

    Understand

Mapping business, technology and people; what is really going on?

  3. III

    Design

Architecture, choices and roadmap; substantiated and governable.

  4. IV

    Deliver

Building alongside teams and suppliers until it works.

  5. V

    Anchor

Governance, operations and handover, so it keeps working.

AI framework

Using AI safely within the enterprise. We have a framework for that.

We developed our own framework for organisations that want to use AI without sensitive data leaving the building. It aligns with existing security and architecture frameworks and is independent of vendors and models.

What is in it and how it works, we prefer to tell you in person. Over a coffee or a drink, for instance.

About us

Business and technology, in one firm.

AVI·TECH Consultancy is an architecture and technology firm with Rotterdam roots, based in The Hague and working worldwide. We work where technology truly matters: in the public sector and in enterprise environments with more than 100,000 users. There we design and build the infrastructure, the integrations and the AI layers that boards, security and operations can rely on; and we stay until it runs.

We combine business management and IT with deep technical expertise: enterprise and network architects at the highest Cisco level (CCIE, CCDE), security architects (CISM) who make Zero Trust, NIST and NIS2 practical, and IT leaders with experience as CTO and lead architect at startups, scale-ups and government. AI-first where possible, proven practice where it must be.

We are compact and fast, with no layers in between. Whoever makes the design also sits at the table during delivery; and whoever delivers has understood the design.

  • Enterprise & network architectureArchitects and engineers who design down to packet level; certified at the highest Cisco level (CCIE, CCDE)
  • CybersecuritySecurity architects who turn Zero Trust, NIST and NIS2 into workable measures; CISM-certified
  • IT leadershipRoles such as CTO, lead architect and programme architect at startups, scale-ups and government; setting direction, scaling, training
  • Business & ITA background in business management and IT; the bridge between boardroom and technology
